Choose the grade

N25-75 Medium Weight provides greater paste body for thicker films and uneven faces, including injection into suitable machined end-shield grooves. N20-75 Light Weight suits finely machined faces, close-tolerance threads and gasket dressing.

Typical applications

Generator and turbo-generator end-shield sealing, gasketed joints, bearing housings, gearbox covers and serviceable industrial joints. For hydrogen-cooled machines, confirm the specified grade and the generator manufacturer’s procedure.

Preparation and application

Clean the joint and remove residues. Apply by brush or spatula, or use approved air-dispensing equipment for suitable machined grooves. Control the film thickness or injection quantity to the joint design. Follow the equipment assembly and inspection procedure.

Application limits

The supplied data sheet excludes main steam lines, boiler pressure parts, superheater and reheater joints, furnace/fire-side applications, and dynamic or rotating seals. Obtain application-specific confirmation rather than borrowing turbine-paste temperature or pressure ratings.

Product identity and traceability

Request current manufacturer documentation, batch identification, manufacturing date, shelf life and distributor authorisation. Historical Tite-Seal packaging or an online listing alone does not establish the identity of the supplied compound.
